Business lawyers serving Shoreline, WA

Keep your agreements in step with your team.

A new hire or a move out of a home office can change your workday. Foundry Law Group helps Shoreline owners review those changes. We work on contracts and hiring papers. You’ll have help with the terms before you put the plan in place.

Start with how the job will work each day.

Talk through the next hire or move

A new hire needs more than a job title. Think about the work they’ll do and where they’ll do it. Our Seattle-area team helps Shoreline owners with hiring papers and client terms. For work at home, check the city’s rules too. Shoreline limits some work on site. Check the space before you offer someone a role there.

Legal support as your Shoreline business grows

A growing team may need new contracts before it needs a new company. Foundry can help review the papers you use now. We also help set up companies and work on trademarks or sales when those needs arise.

Build Your Company

While business support and intellectual property protection often take companies to two separate firms, Foundry offers both service areas in-house. We see your initial business foundation and your asset protection as part of your company’s larger story, and our model integrates the two accordingly. Our dual capacity and holistic approach ensure your big-picture legal plan is cohesive, sustainable, and aligned with your vision for your business.

A home office has limits to plan around

Shoreline’s home-business rules cover more than the name on a license. They limit how much of a home you can use for work. They also limit on-site staff who live elsewhere. Services to clients must be by appointment or off site. Check the current code before you plan regular visits or an on-site hire.

Use that check to shape the work terms you put in writing. A client contract may need to say where meetings take place. Hiring papers should fit the role and work setting. Foundry helps with those documents. City staff can answer questions about use of the home.

A move brings another task. Shoreline says a new address in FileLocal does not update the city’s own license account. Contact the city as well. List who will update each record. Then check the contracts that still show the old address. You can track those changes in the same place.

“Madhu is someone I consider to be a mentor and community leader. She is an outstanding model of an entrepreneur-attorney who finds unique ways to get to know her clients on a very personal level. I’ve witnessed first hand, as Foundry’s Of Counsel Patent Attorney, to see how well she serves her clients. She and her team are world class.”

Bring the contract you use today, even if you wrote it yourself. Explain what has changed at work. We can discuss which terms need a closer look. We’ll also set the scope of our role. Our project proposal sets out the work and fees before the project starts.
